I saw a yacht for sale, a few berths down from my mates Centaur, and it was love at first sight. So, taking a deep breath, I bought this yacht in early 2008, having quit my job and flat. I spent 6 months living on board and generally faffing about doing restoration and carousing! It must be said, I had a pretty good time and made some good friends amongst our sailors and the mad bunch in the boat yard.

Puffin - 32ft Ketch - Macwester Wight MK II
I was working as Head of Technology for a successful Internet firm and was heavily involved in the sale of the business to AOL. Towards the end of 2007, I was becoming very dissillusioned with my work and the lifestyle I was living. I had a great job and a fantastic flat, but felt there was something more I needed.
